Ubuntu Newb - The cold turkey conversion from Windows power user to Linux beginner.
This blog is writte and maintained by David Hills. I have been a Windows power user for a long time (about 16 years) I have tried dabbling in Linux a few times over the last few years but having the option of re-booting back into Windows each time I have to learn something and doing it the way I know best meant that I never really got to grips with Linux.
I recently took the a leap of faith and completely removed windows from my system and I now run Ubuntu Linux 6.06 and loving it.
It has been a lot easier than I thought to make the transition. And I want to share this experience and new knowledge with anyone who wishes to take the plunge like I did.
